WhatsApp events are offered to organizations with WhatsApp turned on. Each fires at most once per message, and only when the message's status moves forward: a late or repeated status from WhatsApp fires nothing. A message can skip a step, so subscribe to every event you act on; for delivery, treat delivered and read alike.
Event availability
Only the events listed on this page are published. Domain lifecycle changes, inbound email, and messages your customers send you on WhatsApp do not have webhook events; check a domain's status with Retrieve a domain, and delivery states with email logs or Retrieve a WhatsApp message.
Subscribe to events
Choose the active event types offered by your project's webhook configuration. Your endpoint receives events for its project and selected subscriptions. Handle unknown event types safely so your receiver can tolerate future additions.
